A school in Wynyard has received a funding boost from a local housebuilder.
Wynyard Church of England Primary School in Redwood Drive has been handed £300 by Bellway, which is building new homes nearby at Regency Manor.
Bellway’s donation went towards the school’s Summer Fair programme.
The programme featured a full list of amazing prizes for their summer raffle as well as a time table for the day.
Local businesses were also given an opportunity to advertise and an acknowledgement of thanks was paid to everyone who donated or sponsored any part of the Summer Fair.
The school’s Summer Fair took place on June 29th and introduced a day of fun for all the children, their families and the wider community.
Headteacher of Wynyard C of E Primary School, Roger Ward, said: “The Summer Fair was a huge success due to the hard work of a number of volunteers, the support of the parents and the generous contributions of companies such as Bellway.
“We are incredibly proud of the partnerships we are building and look forward to them growing in the years to come.”
Debbie Foster, Head of Sales for Bellway Durham, said: “Wynyard C of E Primary School is an excellent school, and we are so pleased to have built up a great relationship with them over the years.
“One of our key missions is to support local schools within the areas in which we build new homes.
“So when we found out the school was in need of a boost, we were more than happy to help.”
