A coffee firm based in North Tyneside is celebrating its tenth anniversary with a special collaboration.

Established in 2009, Tynemouth Coffee is marking the milestone by commissioning a bespoke-branded espresso machine with the help of by Bedlington based illustrator, James Dixon, known as Lines Behind.

James designed a celebratory mural in his distinctive style, using Tynemouth Coffee’s logo and monochromatic branding, which has been used to adorn new coffee mugs and the espresso machine.

James said: “I love coffee and Tynemouth Coffee is one of the best around.

“I see the guys at so many markets and events and we’ve become friends over the years, so when they approached me to collaborate I jumped at the chance.”

Tynemouth Coffee is the latest food and drink brand to add to James’s public-facing portfolio, after his collaborations with Greggs, Longsands Fish Kitchen and Fat Hippo.

Paul Thompson, owner of Tynemouth Coffee, said: “We absolutely champion North East artists and when our tenth anniversary was approaching we knew we wanted to work with James.

“He knows how to bled his own recognisable style with other brands and it just works.”

Tynemouth Coffee has its base at North Shields and stocks its coffee in outlets around the region.
