Pacifica Group, the leading UK domestic energy and appliance services provider, has reported strong growth and a positive outlook in its latest set of annual results.

The national company, which has its headquarters in Houghton le Spring, achieved turnover of £41 million for its financial year ending March 2019, up from £36million for the previous year.

EBITDA at the Group has also grown to £2.1 million from £1.4million in its 2018 financial year.

Pacifica Group has also forecast continued growth in its current financial year, ending March 2020, with turnover reaching £53 million with an EBITDA in excess of £3 million.

During its 2018 financial year the Group also expanded its workforce from 399 to 470. Current recruitment activity during its current financial year will take its headcount to more than 500.

Further recruitment is planned for the Group’s next financial year beginning in April 2020 with the expansion of its team of 250 directly employed engineers, which are based across the country, with the addition of a further 50 home services and appliance engineers.

Pacifica Group comprises of Pacifica Home Services, Pacifica Appliance Services, which include flagship brands, 0800 Repair Gas and 0800 Repair, alongside its UK Warranty division.

Through its Appliance Services and Home Services Divisions, the Group undertakes repairs across the UK of a range of appliances from washing machines and dishwashers, to televisions and mobile phones.

Working closely with manufacturers such Electrolux, Sony, Hisense, Vestel, Howdens (Lamona) and LG along with major retailers, such as Argos and Shop Direct, and insurance providers, Pacifica completes in excess of 4,500 repairs each week.

Pacifica Home Services delivers specialist domestic energy services for heating, plumbing, renewables and insulation.  Undertaking around 15,000 services and repairs each year, Pacifica Home Services also, annually, completes 10,000 heating installations and 10,000 insulation installations working in the utility, new build and social housing markets.

Within the division is renewable energy systems specialist Oakes Energy Services Ltd, which provides solutions, such as air and ground source heating, solar PV and mine water heat extraction to the domestic and commercial property markets.

Kevin Brown, CEO of Pacifica Group, said: “This has been a strong period of growth for Pacifica Group as we increase our presence in the home energy services and appliance repair sectors.  We have secured a number of significant contracts and contract renewals, which have bolstered the Group’s performance and are supported by our continued expansion in the housing sector providing services such as central heating installations and renewable energy solutions to the new build and social housing markets.

“We expect these activities to generate further growth in our current financial year, particularly with the installation of home insulation, along with further developing our warranty services division and our domestic appliance and heating system repair operations, which currently generate in excess of 6,000 jobs per week across the UK.  To meet the increasing demand for our services we are planning to recruit an additional 50 engineers in our next financial year to increase our directly-employed team of field-based specialists to more than 300.”
