International iced-drinks company, Polar Krush, has announced its most successful finish to a year ever, despite a turbulent start to 2021.

Polar Krush has reported an increase in HY2 revenue compared to 2018, the brands previous most successful sales year, and credits the business’s specialist support strategy helping to maintain high customer retention levels as a core driver for their continued growth.

The past year has been an exciting one for Polar Krush, based in the North East of England. Following the success of 2021, the iced drinks giant is predicting large scale growth in 2022 following the partnership with the Unilever brand, Wall’s ‘Calippo Slush’, the purchase of independent carbonated drinks brand, 40 Kola and a new senior leadership team at the helm of the business.

Calippo is the biggest refreshment impulse purchase brand in the UK and Polar Krush is now offering customers favourite Calippo flavours as a zero sugar slush. The drink comes in five flavours and uses 100% natural colouring, flavouring and sweeteners.

The addition of Wall’s Calippo Burst, a premium fizzy slush drink, to the brand portfolio has allowed Polar Krush to provide its customers, including theme parks, leisure venues and retail outlets, with a robust and reliable product to increase spend per consumer and future-proof revenue. The product offers additional revenue to stockists as an accompaniment to ice-creams and food purchases.

Former sales director, Michael Reid has been appointed as the first non-family member CEO at Polar Krush, while Kieran O’Connor has been promoted from financial director to CFO/chairman. The new leadership team has been chosen to stimulate and maintain growth at the company through product innovation, talent retention and reaching new markets. The continued success of the company means that it continues to provide job opportunities at its Ashington headquarters, as well as recruiting for positions across the UK.
