A North East planning and design firm is celebrating a 100 per cent success rate in planning applications, following the first-year milestone of the appointment of its director.
Since joining as director in 2018, Mark Ketley has led BH Planning and Design, sister company of leading North East property firm Bradley Hall, to expand its team to meet the growing demand for Planning and Design projects in the region.
Mark said: “BH Planning & Design is currently involved in schemes and strategic site promotions that could see the delivery of more than 4,000 new homes and the creation of around 1,250 new jobs across the North East over the next 10 years, all of which represents significant investment in the region.
“The diverse approach and experience of our team also allows us to work for a range of smaller clients, including supporting local SMEs, charitable organisations, public and private sector firms and individual developers with recent schemes ranging from changes of use, pubs and restaurants, gym and leisure facilities, and domestic household extensions.”
Since Mark’s appointment in 2018 the firm has since appointed experienced senior planners, Joanne Wood and Daniel Puttick, and graduate placement Nathan Puckering, who joined the firm after gaining a first class planning degree from Leeds Beckett University.
Clients of the firm have included national developers Galliford Try, Story Homes, Miller Homes, local businesses including PJI Engineering and Bells Fish Shop, and North East organisation Heel and Toe Children’s Charity. BH Planning & Design has also pledged to support several local causes and community organisations, beginning with sponsoring Hunwick Cricket Club and Whitley Bay Barbarians.
Mark continued: “Notably, to date 100 per cent of our planning applications have been successful which is something we are very proud of. Our experience and professional approach to applications, combined with our excellent relationships with Local Authority planning departments, has maintained a high level of success for each of our clients, allowing the implementation of several key development projects across the region.
“Such projects not only impact on the landscape and economic success of the North East, they also create thousands of opportunities for the people who live and work in our region. Residential projects provide high quality new housing for local families, charitable projects can provide life changing opportunities for people who need them most, and commercial projects offer the chance for businesses to thrive and secure vital new job creation for local communities.”
