Prudhoe Community Partnership (PCP) has announced the creation of a new part-time role aimed at supporting community groups and strengthening local voluntary action.

The organisation is recruiting a Community Development Coordinator to help deliver key projects and oversee the day-to-day running of the Prudhoe Community Hub.

The role is part-time (10 hours per week) with a salary of £130 per week. It is initially funded for two years, with the potential for increased hours in 2026 depending on funding. The successful candidate will work closely with local charities, community groups and public bodies to champion best practice and encourage collaboration across the voluntary sector in Prudhoe.

The creation of this role marks a significant step forward in the organisation’s efforts to build capacity within the community and ensure sustainable support for local initiatives.

Caroline Warburton, Chair of the Prudhoe Community Partnership Board of Trustees, said: “This is a really exciting opportunity for someone who understands the value of community-led action and wants to help shape the future of Prudhoe. We know the strength of our town lies in its people, and this new role will help connect, support and amplify the brilliant work already happening here. We’re looking for someone who’s organised, proactive, and ready to get stuck in.”

The successful applicant will be based at the Prudhoe Community Hub on Front Street, which has become a key space for local activity and collaboration. Responsibilities will include project coordination, community engagement, and strengthening the links between the Partnership and the groups it supports.
