One of the North East’s fastest growing home improvement specialists has been officially recognised by the London Stock Exchange after posting a 10 per cent increase in sales over the last twelve months.

Employing almost 100 people, Pennine Home Improvements has been named in LSE’s annual publication of ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’, highlighting the role it has played as part of the Conservatory Outlet Group to significantly grow revenue and consistently outperform industry peers.

The report, now in its seventh year, is compiled based on factual information as opposed to nominations and features some of the country’s most dynamic and innovative businesses.

The company has overcome disruption caused by Covid-19 to post a year-on-year sales increase of 20 per cent for June, July and August thanks to a number of sales initiatives and new innovations in digital design technology.

“It’s an honour to have played our role in helping the Conservatory Outlet Group to be officially recognised alongside some of the most impressive companies in the country,” explained Jonathan Young, Managing Director at Pennine Home Improvements.

“Our team has worked incredibly hard over the past year to ensure we offer our customers unrivalled levels of service, backed by a product portfolio that we’re confident is amongst the most diverse in today’s market.”

He continued: “We’re proud to be flying the flag for the North East and the home improvement sector on such a prestigious list and, with continued backing from the group, we look forward to an equally successful future.”

2020 marks a big anniversary for Pennine Home Improvements, which celebrates 40 years in business.

The company, which sells conservatories, doors, extensions, orangeries and windows from three showrooms in Birtley, Durham and Newcastle, has celebrated its anniversary in style by completing its 40,000th installation.

Jonathan concluded: “We are one of the North East’s longest-serving and most experienced installers and this reputation has been built on our family-driven customer service and our product range, which is stronger, more robust and stylish in the region.

“Many of these products are exclusive to Pennine, including our Extreme collection of UPVC windows and doors and our Envisage flush casement window range, an exquisitely stylish suite of windows that come in a huge choice of colours to ensure they make a real mark on your home.

“Covid-19 has thrown up some major challenges, but it has also seen consumers focus more on their homes and how they can improve them. This is a significant opportunity for our business as we plan for the next 40 years.”
