A boutique recruitment company which has supported the expansion of businesses across the UK since 2005 is now planning the next phase of its own growth with the latest addition to its top-level team.

Catalyst specialises in technical, professional and executive recruitment, and from its base in Newcastle has helped to source talent for major corporates including EY, P&G and PwC, alongside nationally-known North East businesses such as Ebac and True Potential

Having supported clients to develop their own businesses for almost 20 years, Catalyst is now future-proofing by bringing in a host of highly experienced names to help guide its ongoing growth.

The business has added Andrew Hoyle, a leading lawyer who has held a host of high-profile roles in the region – including senior partner of law firms Ward Hadaway and Watson Burton – as its Company Secretary.

Andrew joins a wealth of other experienced leaders who have recently joined Catalyst, including Lee Ieronymides, former Managing Director of Solutions Recruitment, as its Principal Consultant, and former EY Associate Audit Partner Darren Rutherford as an Executive Advisor.

The team also has Roger Blight as its business coach, who previously was Financial Director of footwear across the UK and Europe at Nike.

Paul Wilson, founder and CEO of Catalyst, believes the advisory team he has assembled – in addition to the expertise of his specialist team of recruitment consultants – will be vital in supporting the further development of the business.

“Accepting recruitment can be a very challenging business, we have proven great competitiveness and resilience many times since 2005 – I believe we are a strong, capable and highly respected firm, ready for the next phase of growth,” he says.

“We are delighted to bring in Andrew to support our ongoing development. His reputation and track record speak for themselves and his decision to join us is both an endorsement of the work we are doing and of our ambition.

“We have been fortunate to have had Lee here since September too – he used to be my Managing Director at Solutions Recruitment and I have seen for myself how effective he is in driving business growth.

“As well as the vast expertise and experience of the team, we bring a high degree of emotional intelligence which I think is a real benefit in advising clients.  It’s a very exciting time for us and I am very confident in our future.”
