UK homebuilder Miller Homes has announced Mark Bayliss has been promoted to the new role of regional managing director for its Teesside region.
Five additional senior promotions have also been announced to support the region and its growth plans over the next few years.
Mark started his career with the company nearly 20 years ago as part of the Miller Homes North East region. Working his way through the ranks to the position of technical director before earning the opportunity to lead the new Teesside arm of the business, established in 2019.
Since then, the Teesside region has grown significantly, delivering 165 homes in its first full year of trading in 2020, with 267 homes completed last year and is on track to achieve further growth this year. The region has also identified a number of high-quality land opportunities that will support the region’s growth strategy in the next two to three years.
Mark Bayliss, regional managing director for Miller Homes Teesside, said: “The region is currently experiencing huge investment that is driving our ambitious land strategy with exciting plans to build many new homes this year. I look forward to leading the team in Teesside and am confident we will continue to successfully work together to drive further innovation and business growth.”
Five senior appointments within the business include Donna Brown, who has been promoted to associate sales director, responsible for leading the team to achieve annual business KPI’s, as well as championing Miller Homes employer brand initiatives.
James Reid has been promoted to strategic land director and will lead the growth, management and delivery of Miller Homes strategic land portfolio across the North East, Teesside and Yorkshire Regions.
Tony Deakin has been promoted to commercial director, responsible for the successful running of the commercial department, from producing land appraisals to managing the Teesside sites through to completion on budget.
Colin Thompson has been promoted to associate technical director and is responsible for effectively leading and managing the regions technical, architectural, and engineering aspects of the business from land acquisition stage, planning applications, technical approvals through to site completions and final adoptions.
Nick McCluskey has been promoted to production director where he will oversee, implement and innovate processes including managing developments from conception to completion, to health and safety and budgeting.
