Husband and wife duo, Ahmed and Lisa Ali-Khan have launched a brand-new clinic in Jesmond.
With over 40 years’ experience in the industry, they are using their expertise to create a clinic like no other in the North East.
Offering the very latest plastic and cosmetic surgery procedures in a completely unique environment, Ahmed and Lisa are passionate about what they do and pride themselves on delivering excellent results for patients whilst maintaining incredibly high standards.
The team at LASE is uniquely positioned to determine whether surgical or non-surgical procedures are the best option for the individual, avoiding unnecessary general anaesthetics and overnight stays. At the heart of everything the clinic offers is the welfare of the patient and the team will always cross refer between their surgical and non-surgical capabilities to ensure the best advice is given.
The only consultant plastic surgeon lead clinic in the North East and one of only seven UK clinics operating in this way, the model is unique and promises patients an informed service. Their ethos is simple, to offer tailored advice and treatments which fit the needs of the individual and are completely outcome focussed, whether that’s a simple skin rejuvenation treatment or multiple surgical procedures.
Ahmed comes with a wealth of experience with 21 years in the industry. He received fellowship aesthetic training in Bristol, London and Sydney. A full member of BAAPS and BAPRAS, he is recognised on the GMC specialist register for Plastic Surgery.
Alongside Ahmed is wife Lisa, an aesthetic nurse and independent prescriber with 18 years’ experience. She started her aesthetic career in Bristol with her own company, before teaming up with a local plastic surgery provider. Working alongside plastic surgeons and a past president of both BAAPS and BAPRAS, she developed the non-surgical practice there.
Living and working in the region, the couple are passionate about the area and were keen to keep a North East influence throughout the project. Local builders and fitters were contracted to design and install the purpose build facilities, whilst administrative services such as marketing are being delivered from businesses within the region. In addition to Ahmed and Lisa, three jobs have been created in the clinic, with this figure expected to grow.
LASE Cosmetic offers a comprehensive service, providing the widest range of aesthetic treatments available in the North East, ranging from non-surgical through surgical
Ahmed said: “We have been in this industry for some time and recognised a need for this clinic. By offering both surgical and non-surgical solutions we are able to keep the patient’s best interests at heart. People know what results they expect but don’t always know the spectrum of options available, our approach means patients are able to make an informed decision based on desired results.”
Lisa added: “Ahmed and I are passionate about the industry and have a desire to raise standards. We have often spent our evenings discussing possible improvements and so it seemed a natural step for us to create a solution. We have actively selected the best suppliers in the industry, promoting only the finest products. For example, our fat freezing treatment is CoolSculpting, the only FDA approved provider in the world. It is important to us to be able to offer the best advice alongside the best products, our patients deserve it.”
The flagship clinic, located in a discrete area of Jesmond, contains a day-surgery facility and is fully CQC registered giving patients additional peace of mind whatever their treatment options. LASE Cosmetic will be hosting a series of events to inform locals of the industry leading treatments available at the clinic, the first of which will be a CoolSculpting demo on 31st January. The event is free to attend, however space must be booked and readers are invited to call the clinic on 0191 389 7090 to book a place.
