South Tyneside based Nuby™ is celebrating a decade in the UK with a move to larger premises to meet growing demand for its innovative baby products.
Nuby™ relocated to Boldon Business Park seven years ago with 10 staff and has now moved to larger premises, with a square footage of 28,096 more than six times bigger than the last premises, within the South Tyneside business park.
The business, which is the fastest growing baby brand worldwide, now has a total of 42 members of staff working on-site with further recruitment planned across the firm with a projected turnover of £17.5million this financial year.
Helen Curran, Head of Marketing at Nuby™, said: “We have brought our warehousing, which was previously outsourced to a third party, in-house.
“We can now handle all of our deliveries directly from our offices and warehouse in Boldon. So, all of our orders from within the UK are picked, packed and processed from here. This includes the distribution to major retail outlets, such as Aldi, Amazon, Asda, Boots, Morrisons and Tesco. We also offer a popular click & collect service for local families.”
Boldon is home to the Nuby™ sales, marketing, R&D and management team who work alongside the new warehousing staff.

There was never any question of leaving the area, it’s a good location for recruiting staff and the premises suit our growing needs. The firm has seen steady recruitment in all areas since moving to the area with its recent move seeing the creation of an on-site warehouse team of five, most recruited from the previous third party warehouse to reduce the risk of their redundancy.
