A North East marketing agency has been named a finalist at this year’s Global Social Media Awards.

Social-first marketing firm Bumbl is shortlisted for Best Small Agency, a category that recognises those producing effective work for brands on a global scale.

Headed up by husband-and-wife duo Greg and Lois Miles, Bumbl specialises in social media marketing, covering content production, paid advertising and creative campaigns.

Greg Miles, founder and managing director of Bumbl, commented: “To be recognised at this level, particularly for this award, is a real testament to our team and the work we’re creating.

“When I started Bumbl at the age of 22 with just a laptop and a student overdraft, I didn’t know where it would lead, I just relied on my energy and possible naivety to work hard creating a place I wanted to work.”

Now a team of seven, the agency has a presence in a wide range of sectors, partnering with names such as LeoVegas, Angry Birds, Nike and Lookers.

Lois Miles, creative director at Bumbl, added: “Despite the economic uncertainty of the past two years, we’ve been able to grow the team and continue working with fantastic clients.

“This is partly due to our increased focus on digital-first businesses, such as tech and ecommerce brands, since the pandemic.”
