Leading land agency Galbraith has appointed Will Blair as a surveyor in its rural team in Blagdon, Northumberland.

Will is responsible for land and farm sales and valuations, and will provide targeted advice to landowners and agricultural businesses across the region.

Ian Hope, head of the rural division at Galbraith commented:

“We are delighted to welcome Will to the firm and look forward to working with him to continue to provide bespoke advice to farming businesses, large and small. We have expanded our rural division considerably in recent years as a result of the increased demand for advice and the continued shift towards diversified business models.

“Despite the challenging economic climate, there are new avenues for income generation, land values are holding up well and it is possible to achieve good returns in a number of areas.”

Will Blair said: “I’m delighted to join Galbraith as part of its increased focus on Northumberland and the north of England.

“The rural sector is currently experiencing a high degree of uncertainty with regard to agricultural policy and land use strategy, coupled with increasing costs and higher interest rates. Nevertheless rural businesses are resilient and will adapt to take advantage of existing and emerging opportunities. A sustainable long-term strategy is key to surviving and thriving in the future.”
