The region’s largest family-run, independent flooring retailer, Frank’s The Flooring Store, has celebrated its 25th anniversary.
Recognised by the infectious catchphrase “I love carpets, me!” the flooring giant has taken its place in the North East’s high street retail space as one of the leading brands in the area.
It all started when Frank’s opened its first store on Portrack Lane, Stockton, in 1996. Since then the company changed its name from Frank’s Factory Flooring to Frank’s The Flooring Store in 2002, to strengthen and diversify its brand.
Over the past quarter-century, three out of five family generations are still actively involved in the company, and many of the team have been there from the beginning.
Frank’s has also invested over a million pounds in the latest technology to ensure that they remain at the ‘cutting edge’ of the industry and has steadily opened its doors to invite more happy customers across the North East.
In recent months, Frank’s has opened more new stores, bringing the total number of stores across the region to 30.
Earlier in the year, they also commissioned a new website to help bring their online presence up-to-date and in line with the current market.
The company’s expansion continues as Frank’s is ever mindful of new trends and changes to the flooring marketplace. There’s no better time to enjoy the great outdoors than in summer, and what might surprise you is that Frank’s sells artificial grass too – and people love it.
Frank’s single goal is to provide customers with the best price on quality flooring, guaranteed. Sometimes a little tongue in cheek, Frank’s prides itself on not offering sales or discounts, but instead stating that they buy better, so their customers pay less.
“Frank’s has always been about making sure that we can get our customers the flooring they want at a price that cannot be beaten,” said Frank’s MD Billy Maguire.
Billy added: “We listen to our customers, we work with them, so when they leave the store, they are confident that we’ve given them the best service and price possible. It’s something we’ve built our business on for the last 25 years.”
Frank’s has commissioned a brand new TV advert to celebrate their momentous birthday, which will be hitting the airwaves very soon. The TV advert taps into the rich history of the business, with a few callbacks to the past sandwiched in.
Frank’s wants to give a little back this month to their loyal customers for hitting this impressive milestone. Not only will customers have the chance to download a £25 gift voucher from the Frank’s website to use towards their next purchase, but they can also take part in the Frank’s £2500 giveaway competition over on their Facebook page.
